Walmart shoppers in Hong Kong can get a big savings by using a store credit card, a new Walmart grocery website says.
Walmart announced in September it would buy online retailer SaveMart, the grocery company that sells items at Walmart stores in Hongkong.
Walmart’s purchase price is expected to be around HK$100 million ($96 million).
The website SaveMart.com said it was designed to help customers save money and was “designed for people who are shopping on Walmart.com or who are in Hong Kowloon.”
Its website offers savings tips, advice and a video showing how to buy and use the products on Walmart’s online store.
Its homepage also offers tips for shoppers who want to learn more about shopping at Walmart.
The website also offers advice for shoppers on how to manage a budget.
WalMart did not respond to a request for comment on the new SaveMart website.
A Walmart spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Walton Brothers, the American company that owns Walmart and the majority of Walmart’s U.S. stores, has said it would not expand to Hong Kong.
