Llanellaggan village has come under fire after one of its shops was vandalised overnight.
The shop was defaced with graffiti overnight.
Residents of Llanellegan, which lies on the outskirts of Llandudno, have taken to social media to complain about the attack.
A picture of a shop with a graffiti message and a caption reading “Beware” has been shared thousands of times on social media.
The village council has confirmed that a vandal has been caught and the shop has been closed.
It is not clear how long the shop had been open and residents were asked to come to the council office and report the incident.
Residents said they were worried about their safety.
“I don’t know how it got here,” said one.
“We’ve been waiting for some time for them to come out.
We have no idea who did it.”
Another said she had been at the store for 10 years and it had always been a safe and pleasant place.
“It is really sad, because we live here, it is like a family,” she said.
“If you come here, you’ll see people, you won’t be scared, and the store is just a nice place.
